of our favourite things combine this Summer and it has nada to do with the Olympics or the Jubilee. We’re talking about Legendary photographer David Bailey’s latest exhibition which is all about the East End he grew up in. The exhibition takes place at The Royal Docks in Newham and will feature images spanning over fifty years split in three chunks centered around his homeland through the 60’s, 80’s and from the past five years. The collection is made up of large scale prints of the people who surrounded him when growing up, the places he frequented and what was hip and happening back then including a shoot of The Krays, amongst other characters and ‘faces’ of the time.

It will no doubt be interesting to see the changes in the landscape and culture. Bailey’s East End opens 6th July and runs until 5th August, so if you are looking for something to do in London this Summer which isn’t sport related then this is well worth a look.

Entry is £6 unless you are a resident of Newham, in which case it will be free. Lovely
