Middle Eastern cafe Bafarat, which specialises in Arabic coffee and French patisserie, has come to London, opening in Soho. As well as a selection of coffees (including a spiced Arabic blend and turmeric and matcha lattes) and teas, the main draw of Bafarat is the desserts created by chef¬†Thomas Alphonsine – we’re talking raspberry tarts, pistachio eclairs, lemon tarts, passionfruit cheesecake and caramel and cinnamon pillows.

If one pastry just won’t cut it, Bafarat will also soon be launching an afternoon tea, featuring a mini offering of the full menu, and a five-course interactive dessert tasting menu, where you can watch the chefs craft your puds at the dessert bar. Sounds like this is the one for all the sweet tooths out there.
