Italian seafood and wine is coming to Bermondsey as Baccalà opens this month. Head chef Moreno Polverini (ex-Four Seasons) will be serving up seasonal seafood, with the menu being dictated by what’s fresh, plus a raw bar running on alternate days. The wine list at Baccalà will represent all twenty regions of Italy, with sommelier Fabio De Nicola curating a selection that showcases small producers with a few classics thrown in there too. Lots of it will be available by the glass thanks to Coravin and there’ll also be an off-licence so you can buy bottles to take home too.
