Dante is swapping Greenwich Village for Mayfair this summer
Founded over a century ago, bars don’t get much more quintessentially New York than Dante. The award-winning venue (it received the World’s Best Bar title on the 2019 World’s 50 Best Bars list) is known for its Italian-inspired world-class cocktails and old-school hospitality, and this summer, Dante is bringing it all to Claridge’s.
Linden Pride and Nathalie Hudson, the husband-and-wife team behind Dante, will be coming across the pond for the month-long residency to bring a slice of downtown Manhattan to Mayfair. As well as running a daily Aperitivo Hour, the Dante team will be serving up signature drinks in Claridge’s Restaurant, such as the Dante Martini, the Negroni Bianco, The Garibaldi (made with Dante’s famous ‘fluffy’ orange juice), and the Chocolate Negroni ‘fountain’ (made with gin, Campari, Punt e Mes, crème de cacao and chocolate bitters).
There’ll be more American faves across the food menu, including dishes like:
- Dante x Claridge’s sliders
- seafood towers with oysters, crab, scallop and shrimp
- shrimp cocktail
- New York strip on the bone with chimichurri
- Dante’s signature burger with smoked bacon, pickled beets, American cheese, tomato, spicy mayo and lettuce
And if you love a good old NYC-style brunch, head down on weekends for buttermilk pancakes and bacon, banana bread with ricotta and honey, and huevos rancheros.
