ARTISAN BAKERY ASTRID TO OPEN IN MUSWELL HILL

The bakery is going from delivery-only to a permanent shop in the new year

Former fashion journalist Charlotte O’Kelly, who retrained at Le Cordon Bleu London, started baking from her kitchen and delivery-only bakery Astrid was born. She won over fans with her luxury breakfast boxes, featuring a range of breads, pastries and cakes, as well as her beautiful celebration cakes and gift-boxed viennoiserie. Now after almost three years of doing deliveries, she’s ready to move out of her kitchen and into her very own bakery.

Opening in Muswell Hill, Astrid Bakery will be a mainly takeaway operation with the likes of cinnamon buns, seasonal fruit and savoury danishes, pistachio croissants, stripy chocolatines, passionfruit meringue croissants and Italian hot chocolate cruffins on the menu alongside hot drinks, sandwiches and other lunch options. Themed celebration cakes and the breakfast boxes (Charlotte donates to Magic Breakfast for every box sold) will still be available to order too.

Speaking about the opening, Charlotte says, “After trading as delivery-only for almost three years now, we are so excited to meet all our customers in person and to have this new location at the heart of our local community to offer something joyous and special.”
