Art on a Postcard Is Teaming up With War Child for a Charity Auction

Art-based charity Art on a Postcard is back with another fundraising auction and exhibition in collaboration with War Child this autumn, and this one has a Kate Bush theme. Sound & Vision, run in partnership with Iconic Images Gallery, will see 52 artists create a piece in response to iconic Kate Bush lyric “If I only could, I’d make a deal with God”, from ‘Running Up That Hill’ on Hounds of Love, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The likes of Peter Doig, Maggi Hambling, Charlie Calder-Potts, Susie Hamilton, Corbin Shaw, Unskilled Worker, Ayobola Kekere-Ekun, Boo Saville, Hannah Lim and LUAP have contributed pieces to the auction.

There’ll be an opportunity to view the art in person at Iconic Images Gallery in Waterloo from 4th – 8th November, with the online auction beginning the week before on 28th October. Proceeds will go towards supporting War Child’s work with children living through conflict worldwide, which involves creating safe spaces for children to play, learn, and access psychological support, as well as providing critical aid.
