Art on a Postcard Is Teaming up With War Child for a Charity Auction

Art-based charity Art on a Postcard will be holding its second fundraising auction in collaboration with War Child this spring. As usual, the auction will give you the chance to bid on a mini-masterpiece – with artworks contributed by international contemporary artists, as well as emerging talents, and prices starting at £50 – in the name of a good cause. This year’s highlights include original Polaroids of Andy Warhol’s possessions, captured by Dave Gamble; four oil paintings by Tahnee Lonsdale; and pieces by Art on a Postcard favourite Sarah Ball.

There’ll be an opportunity to view the art in person at The Fitzrovia Gallery on Tues 30th April. The auction (which will be held online) starts a week before, on Tues 23rd April, and ends a week after, on Tues 7th May. Proceeds will go towards supporting War Child’s work with children living through conflict worldwide, which involves creating safe spaces for children to play, learn, and access psychological support, as well as providing critical aid.
