Roberto Costa, the man behind Italian steak restaurants Macellaio RC, has opened a new spot in Fulham and he’s doing things a little differently here. Ardiciocca is the first entirely gluten, sugar and dairy-free Mediterranean restaurant in London but that doesn’t mean there’s been any compromise on flavour.
Using produce from small farms around the world and fermentation techniques in the kitchen, chef Simona Ranieri’s menu includes dishes like beetroot tartare with mustard and green apple sorbet; pea ravioli with almond, borage and clam broth; slow-cooked lamb with kimchi; and matcha tea ice cream with pure chocolate and quinoa. To complement the healthy food, there’s a range of natural, organic and biodynamic wines from small producers, with orange varieties joining the standard red, white and rose.
