% Arabica, the super cool coffee chain from Kyoto, is opening two London sites at once, one on Broadway Market and the other in Covent Garden. The brand has 40 sites across twelve countries but these the brand’s first openings in the UK.
As you can imagine, % Arabica takes both its beans and its gear very seriously; it produces and roasts its own coffee (the Broadway Market flagship will have a roasting machine where you can co-create your own blends), the baristas use custom Slayer espresso machines and they pour each cup with lots of care and attention. As well as the % Arabica blend (a combo of Brazilian and Ethiopian beans), there’ll be rotating single origin coffee on offer and drip beverages by Chemex. And everything looks pretty slick too, including their % branded merch. We can see those tote bags and water bottles being very popular on the streets of Hackney.
