London’s Aquavit is hosting the ultimate Scandi feast this March as they bring in Magnus Ek from famed Stockholm restaurant Oaxen Krog for a special six-course menu. With two Michelin stars, Oaxen Krog has long been one of Stockholm’s best restaurants and it was certainly one of the highlights of our trip there a couple of years ago.
Collaborating with Aquavit’s Executive Chef Henrik Ritzén, Magnus will be bringing Swedish ingredients like forest capers and potato miso over to London for the occasion, with the menu including dishes such as beech wood smoked mackerel with crab apple and lovage and duck with chanterelles, forest capers and spruce cream.
Yes this is going to be pretty epic, so save yourself the plane fare to Sweden and book a spot at Aquavit (for £85) instead.
