ANT CARVER: PARADISE

Recognise the bright, bold brushstrokes of this artwork? If you spend any time in East London, you should of seen Ant Carver’s street art adorning the sides of buildings in East London. Now looking further than the perimeters of London for inspiration, the street artist who uses spray and oil paints to create detailed yet energetic images is back with a new exhibition at the Hoxton Basement. Amongst the models that Carver regularly uses as inspiration for his portraits will be some new faces – including two Indian Sadhus and a Yogi Baba. Uplifting visitors with bright colours and strong visuals, the artist hopes to temporarily create a distraction from the fears and anxieties of the outside world, which definitely sounds like a small slice of paradise to us…

Friday 2nd-Sunday 4th December 2016
Hoxton Basement, 12-18 Hoxton Street, London, N1 6NG.
