Bistro Cocotte will open in Kingly Court, ten years after the original Notting Hill spot.
Founder Romain Bourrillon is taking his Cocotte name in a new direction with Bistro Cocotte, a modern French bistro and wine bar opening in Kingly Court, Soho, this coming autumn/winter. It’s not an extension of the original Notting Hill restaurant, but a fresh concept built from scratch around produce-led, generous cooking, pairing simple, ingredient-led dishes with lighter, contemporary takes on French classics. The wine list centres on Burgundy, with natural and biodynamic producers at its core.
Open seven days a week, Bistro Cocotte will run a prix fixe lunch served within 45 minutes for Soho’s working crowd, before shifting gears in the evening for slower, more settled-in dining. “This is a new chapter, a bistro built from scratch around product, wine and hospitality, in the middle of Soho,” says Bourrillon. “We want people to talk about it for one reason, because the food is that good.”
Bistro Cocotte will launch as the flagship of Maisons Vivantes, Bourrillon’s wider collective of chef-led concepts, alongside Casa Felicia in Queen’s Park and Karla Knowles’ two upcoming Thai restaurants in Farringdon and Notting Hill, of which Cocotte remains the founding brand.
