Anna of the North – the Norwegian-Kiwi pair of Anna Lotterud and Brady Daniell-Smith – have shared the video for ‘Lovers’, the title track from their forthcoming debut album. The track is synth-heavy and seductive, with a very red video to match. As Anna explains, “On a literal level, it’s about being lost at a house party and surrounded by couples when your own relationship has fallen apart. Digging deeper, the video is set in the same place as the song, that point when you feel so alone and you’re reaching out but they’re not reaching back. It’s desperate.” If you wanna see Anna of the North do their thing live, they are playing this year’s BST Hyde Park, Blissfields and Bestival plus a date at Omeara in September.
