It’s official, the London restaurant scene is coming back to life because the first pop-up has been announced. Long time popper-uppers AngloThai will be taking over Newcomer Wines in Dalston, running every Friday and Saturday throughout July and August. Expect a Northern Thai-influenced food menu with an emphasis on dishes cooked on fire using British ingredients.
The menu features SPICY AF som tam farang salad, red curry pork sausage and grilled poussin with fish sauce caramel glaze amongst other bangers, paired with low-invention Austrian wines from Newcomer. You’ll be able for pre-order collect and delivery in designated time slots from 5pm – 9pm, and there’ll be a limited number of “AngloThai x Newcomer Alfresco” tables available each evening, following social distancing guidelines. With no decent Thai places in Dalston, this is one pop-up we’re really excited about. Keep an eye on Newcomer Wines website for when and how to book.
