We’re clearly gagging for Van Gogh as not one but two immersive exhibitions on the artist are heading to London this year. The first show to open is Van Gogh Alive, which has toured in over 65 cities worldwide, and is coming to Kensington Gardens this summer. This exhibition will feature over 3000 images of his iconic works projected using state-of-the-art technology alongside a classical score, a sunflower selfie room, and a 3D recreation of Van Gogh’s paintings of his bedroom, and tickets are on sale now.
The second show to open, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, has been a hit in the States in the US and Europe and is coming to Spitalfields this July, with tickets are on sale now. The exhibition will see more than 300 of Van Gogh’s works projected across a floor-to-ceiling two-storey space so you’ll be able to soak up the art from all angles. There’ll also be a drawing studio and a VR experience that takes you through a day in the life of the artist and explores the inspiration behind some of his most iconic paintings. Expect to see a whole lotta Van Gogh flooding the ‘gram.
