In this age of immersive experiences (and its extremely popular art-based subculture) it seems that every famous artist of the last few hundred years is getting the digital exhibition treatment – we’ve had Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera, Gustav Klimt, Vincent van Gogh and many more featured in Frameless, and now it’s the turn of Salvador Dali.
Opening at The Boiler House on Brick Lane this December, Dali Cybernetics: The Immersive Experience, which has already been a big hit in Barcelona, will feature 360-degree, floor-to-ceiling digital projections of Dali’s surrealist masterpieces, complete with holograms, sound effects, artificial intelligence and more.
You’ll also be able to enter the metaverse and step inside Dali’s artworks with a one-of-a-kind VR experience – your digital avatar will be able to explore a dreamlike space and be immersed in paintings like The Persistence of Memory (that’s the melty clock one) in a whole new way.
