An Immersive Light Show Is Playing at St Paul’s Cathedral

After putting on immersive light and sound shows Space and Life at St Martin-in-the-Fields in 2023 and 2024, art project Luxmuralis (a collaboration between sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper) now has a display running at St Paul’s Cathedral. Playing until the end of February, Luminous transforms the interior of this London landmark into a giant canvas, showing projections of artworks that depict the history and heritage of the Cathedral as well as reference its collections and archive. It’s the first time that the interior of St Paul’s has been lit up like this, with the display going right up inside the dome, so it’s a chance to experience the architecture of the building in a whole new way.

Tickets for the experience, which lasts between 45 mins – one hour, cost £17.50, with all proceeds going to support the Cathedral’s work in preserving its history and heritage for future generations.
