Amazonico, the glitzy rainforest-themed restaurant in Madrid, is coming to Mayfair opening on Berkeley Square this November. The Madrid site is popular with celebs and ‘grammers thanks to its foliage-covered ceilings, lashings of gold and all-around OTT interiors (so it should fit right in with neighbours Sexy Fish and Annabel’s). As well as loads of live plants, the London outpost will also have nightly jazz performances in the restaurant and resident DJs in the Peruvian sushi bar.
The food loosely follows the tropical theme, mixing Brazilian, Asian and Mediterranean influences for dishes like churrascaria, aguachile, sushi, poke, tandoori, Kobe beef and American steaks. We don’t have any firm menu deets for the London restaurant yet so watch this space…
