Allbirds, makers of the world’s comfiest sustainable trainers, are now lightening up lockdown with their new venture The Wool Hotline. If you want to someone to chat to or you just need a break from work, give the free hotline a ring on 0800 141 3370. As well the Allbirds team on hand for a natter (9-5 on weekdays, though the line is open 24/7), there’ll be lots of entertainment at the other end of the line.
You could hear soothing sounds of sheep or birdsong; Allbirds co-founders Tim Brown and Joey Zwillinger hosting a pub quiz and reading children’s book Sadie Shaves the Day respectively; reading from author Adam Kay; and a playlist curated by father-daughter DJs Pete and Becky Tong. And if you’re not about using a phone for phone calls, you can email Allbirds instead and they’ll reply with playlist, podcast and recipe recs.
