If you’ve got a hot date this Valentine’s Day, forget the tube and get there in style by taking a romantic cruise to your destination. That’s right, Uber is running a special service on V-Day with Thames Clippers to help all you lovebirds get your evening off to the perfect start. As well as ferrying you across the river, the Uber Love Boat is turning the romance right up with performances of classic love songs (apparently us Brits love a bit of Whitney’s ‘I Will Always Love You’) played live by London based string quartets, including String Infusion, Prima Strings, Halo Strings and Giardino Strings.
Whilst you’re being serenaded, you’ll also be able to order champagne, Valentine’s salted caramel cupcakes and chocolate heart-shaped shortbread biscuits on top of the regular drinks and nibbles on-board menu, and you’ll be treated to beaut views of the capital as you cruise down the Thames. You defo don’t get that on the Central Line.
You can board the Love Boat at North Greenwich Pier or hop on a later point in the two-hour round journey and sail off into the sunset.
