Sun Structures is the aptly named debut album from psychedelic rock band Temples. The name sums it up; listening to this album is like you’ve rolled out of bed to take a stroll outside on a new years morning. Finding yourself amidst tall structures (the four strong singles: Shelter Song, Colours to Life, Keep in the Dark and latest release Mesmerise) the hazy sunshine streams through intermittently.
There are slightly lethargic moments to this album, but you are soon lulled on, keeping you on the crafted journey Temples lead. Following alongside Tame Impala on the blurry road of distant vocals and flange guitars, they have defiantly captured the essence of this genre.
Due for release 10th February on Heavenly Recordings, catch the band live on their imminent tour.
