Oh wait, what’s this slipped through the net? We initially figured this was an Echobelly comeback or Belly reunion or something, albeit better than we remembered … Then we saw a picture of Taffy and realised they were actually Japanese. Seriously, we lived through 96 and this is what records sounded like: crystal-clear production, nice harmonies, sunny disposition, enticing vocals, a bit of shoegaze-y guitars, but solos. In fact it wasn’t as good as what Taffy are…. Ah, the sweet lens of nostalgia!
