Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Sondre Lerche is back with his seventh studio album! There’s definitely enough instant appeal to the 10 track LP ‘Please’ but it’s the impressive progressions and edgey experimental moments that will impress a room full of tired, hungry muso types just dying to go all ‘slate-of-the-art’ via social media. ‘Please’ is infectious without being offensive and although it requires attention, there’s nothing obnoxious about it.

Pulling you in with the instantly catchy ‘Bad Law’ then taking you down a route with a more inovative appeal (Lucky Guy, At Times We Live Alone) dotted with more anthemic tacks (Sentimentalist), if the idea of subtle, mellow electonics flirting it out with Of Montreal reminiscent kookiness appeals to you then ‘Please’ will do exactly what it says on the tin.

‘Please’ is out now and you can catch Sondre Lerche playing at Hackney Oslo on 26th October. Be there.
