RELEASED: 17TH SEPTEMBER

The delicious third album from indie rockers SKY LARKIN follows debut ‘The Golden Spike’ and ‘Kaleide’ from 2009 and 2010. After some time apart playing as extra musicians alongside Wild Beasts or on side projects they has reformed with the mature, easy listening ‘Motto’.

Recorded with John Goodmanson, long-term collaborator and producer from Seattle, the album reflects the varied emotions and styles documenting their journeys through the past couple of years. Singer and songwriter Katie Harkin wrote most of the album touring with Wild Beasts across 28 countries in 20 months. Because of this you hear the variation in moods from loss, love and the seasons. The talented songwriter has an innocent sounding voice which sometimes turns to anger so suits the album well between the layered guitars and great drums, making a very atmospheric record.

The Leeds band rejoined in Yorkshire to write the record before heading to Goodmanson in Seattle to finish it off.

The band started out touring with the likes of Los Campesinos!, Architecture in Helsinki and Gossip where thankfully they sparked interested with Wichita Recordings who also released this album on 17th September.
