GOLD
RELEASED 17TH MARCH 2014

Released via Acid Jazz Records, Dexters’ debut album ‘Shimmer Gold’ is a full package of anthemic hooks and melodic charm. Catchy tunes and killer choruses, the 11-track debut is made out of shimmering expectancy for greater things to come.

With lyrics reminiscent of The Kinks and Ray Davies in terms of storytelling, the East London’s fivesome bring to our ears stories about the roughest part of town with upbeat acumen. Starting with vibrant album opener ‘Cloudfest’, going through recently released first single ‘Recover’ with its engaging guitars and contagious chorus, ‘Shimmer Gold’ is bound to be a highlight for many.

Frontman Tom Rowlett says: “We’re ready to make the next step up with this album – it’s 11 big tracks, not one radio made single and see you later, that’s your lot. Trust me, it’s one of the best debut albums in years and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Taking inspiration from big indie names such as The Libertines, The Strokes and The La’s, Dexters are a delightful punch in the current guitar music’s face and one which is very much needed too. Dexters will be playing their biggest London show to date at The Garage on April 5th.
