FUTURES

RELEASED: 19TH JANUARY 2015

Southampton songwriter Aqualung AKA Matt Hales is set to release his first album in nearly half a decade, ’10 Futures’ feels forward thinking but always keeps it’s feet still firmly on the ground. The record celebrates a plethora of musical styles and given the amount of lucious collaborations Hales has under his belt, we were hardly suprised to discover the ten track LP contains a compendium of duets from the like of Luke Sital-Sigh, Leanne La Havis and Prides adding freshness to his established blend of experimental melodies without ever taking away from that simplistic signature sound.

The collection of soft piano anthems, experimental electronics and harmonious hymns throws all preconceived notions about singer songwriters out the window, sounding more like a stripped back Wild Beasts than a washed up busker type ’10 Futures’ truely captures the spirit of an artist in his prime.

’10 Futures’ is out 19th of Jnauary
