a fruitful relationship with Dr. Martens, Brit model and subculture obsessee Agyness Deyn has produced a Spring/Summer collection that debuts this month. There’s a California surf vibe, but being Dr. Martens this is surfer-girl-at-the-punk-show. The heavy buckles and hardware are unmistakably DM, but palm tree patches and ocean colours take it to the West Coast. Aggy herself cites the Venice Beach hardcore scene as her inspiration, where Docs were footwear of choice among the ‘80s thrashers.

Translated to London in 2014, that means a collection that’ll keep your feet safe in a mosh pit or just in the rain. Boots and sandals with tattoo motifs sit alongside heavy strapped Mary-Janes and dresses that mix sportswear with Hawaiian prints: it’s a punk-rock mish-mash of the kind we’ve come to expect from ADxDM.

The collection’s available right now from Dr. Martens stores and online, so take a gander if you’re in the mood for some seriously stompy spring garb.
