adventure films underground

From rooftops to hot tubs, there are now loads of places around London where you can watch a movie without having to step foot in cinema, but Secret Adventures have taken it to a whole new level (literally) with their Adventure Films Underground. Their screenings of award-winning adventure films, including The Swimming Granny (about an 85-year-old woman who swims in the sea everyday), North Of The Sun (about two Norwegians who surf in the dark in the Arctic Circle) and And Then We Swam (about two friends who row across the Indian Ocean), take place in the Brunel Museum Shaft under the Thames.

Yes, this is definitely not your local Odeon. And you can forget stale popcorn as well; snacks and drinks here include street food, wild cocktails and honey beer, which can all be enjoyed around a campfire at the Brunel Roof Garden before and between the films. So are you ready to go on an adventure?
