Adidashas tweaked its infamous three stripes logo as a nod to its latest collaborator, the current midas man of music, Mr Pharrell Williams. The three stripes have transformed themselves into an equals sign with Williams’ name taking the place of the third stripe as an endorsement of Pharrell’s philosophy of equality.
Pharrell’s first collection dropped globally into flagship Adidas Originals stores on 20 September and is available to buy online. Key pieces amongst the collection include two classic superstar track jackets, Napa leather jackets – its highest priced pieces at £780, and boldly coloured Stan Smith shoes available in Red, Blue and Black.
This is the first of a four part package with further pieces planned to drop in October, November and December this year. Teaming up the Adidas Brand with the Pharrell phenomenon is bound to be a sure fire sell out and the current pieces on offer will no doubt fly off the shelves, so don your Deedus sneaks and run down to the Originals Store on London’s Oxford street pronto. You’ll be #Happy you did so.
