brand Barbour has joined forces with Adidas Originals on a limited edition collection of footwear and apparel, fusing classic characteristics with sports silhouettes. The collection is based around three unique themes, each story features jackets, trainers and boots designed to be worn together. The stories are called Country, Spectator and Military.Daniel Bauer, Director Adidas Originals Statement said “The collaboration with Barbour is a truly inspiring and exciting partnership. Both brands share a rich heritage, long history and dedication to deliver premium products which was driving both teams through the creation process. We are privileged being able to work with Barbour and are proud of the collection.”
Country is an obvious connection to Barbour and celebrating the English countryside, the collection features an update of the iconic Beaufort wax jacket, The Adiwick jacket is a heavy 8oz beeswax and retains all the classic features, refreshed with leather trims and studding details. The Adidas classic TS Runners have been redesigned with a Barbour waxed cotton finish in a classic aged tan leather.
Spectator is a celebration of Adidas and country sports. A combination of retro footwear and hi-tech outerwear, both brands meet perfectly in the middle with this theme. The Johbar jacket is also in classic Barbour waxed cotton, featuring a large vintage ring pull, studded vents, pockets with hand warmers and a corduroy collar. The trainers also feature the different elements of the Johbar jacket.
Military is inspired by the British Army during the Falklands War. The multi-pocketed Baradi jacket with its camo printed lining, which is made from sections of the matching boot GSG9. If you’re looking for a new winter coat with a difference, don’t miss out on this unique take on the collaboration.
