ADAM BYATT AND RUINART ARE TEAMING UP TO BLEND FOOD WITH ART

With Frieze London returning to town this month, things are about to get very arty in the capital. Chef Adam Byatt and Champagne house Ruinart are teaming up to take things to the next level with a very spesh dining experience that blends art and gastronomy. Ruinart has a strong link to the art world; it invites a different artist each year to share their experience of the maison, and this time the result is the Right Here, Right Now installation created by Jeppe Hein that involves the four elements of earth/soil, water/rain, air/wind, and fire/sun.

Adam Byatt has created a five-course menu inspired by Hein’s work, which includes:

  • vases of edible leaves with forest vegetables & seaweed tea
  • vegan caviar served by hand
  • a pure white Chardonnay grapevine leaves dish
  • whole autumn truffle baked in brioche dough, served with a plant-based sauce Périgord, raisins & cep carpaccio

Hein’s installation will be exhibited at the Ruinart Art Bar at Frieze from 12th – 16th October, and there’s just one lunch and one dinner sitting for the Food For Art Dining Experience, so if you want to be there, snap up the tickets now.

Weds 12th October 2022, 12.30pm and 7pm
