Beder, the mental health and suicide prevention charity (and one of our Heroes), is launching a new campaign to raise awareness about its Beder Therapy Vouchers, which provide free access to therapy. The charity has teamed up with leading artists and illustrators to cover ten black cabs and turn them into a public exhibition of mental health messages encouraging connection and wellbeing.
The cabs will be on the streets from Blue Monday (19th January) to April, with QR codes inside that passengers can scan to find out more about how to apply for Beder Therapy Vouchers. These provide free access to therapy through 6 x 50 minute sessions to those who are 18+ and in the UK through their collaboration with therapy platform Meela.
“We want to turn these iconic London black cabs into canvas for hope and help anyone struggling with their mental health as everyone deserves someone to talk to” says Razzak Mirjan, Founder of Beder. “By collaborating with incredible artists from around the world, every taxi becomes its own message of encouragement. When someone spots one of our Beder black cabs, we want it to offer a moment of connection, reflection or support — even if it’s only for a few seconds at a traffic light – to spark the conversation and consider trying therapy.”
