If having a go on Supermarket Sweep was one of your life goals (and you’re lying if you say it wasn’t) then you’ll be very pleased to hear that the beloved game show, minus the late great Dale Winton, is coming back. To celebrate his new book Kitchen Cocktails, JJ Goodman, mixologist at the London Cocktail Club, is turning the ground floor of the LCC in Shoreditch into the Cocktail Kitchen supermarket, stocked with everything from Coco Pops to bacon. Once guests have been divided into teams, popped on a bright jumper just like they did on TV and chosen a cocktail from the book, they have to race around the aisles to collect the correct ingredients. There’s even a Cocktail Wheel of Fortune with bonus prizes on offer if the teams also manage to pick up the corresponding inflatables from the supermarket. After the checkouts, the teams take their shopping over to the kitchen where the LCC team will be on hand to help shake up those cocktails.
Tickets for the hour-long sessions include three drinks as well as the chance to go crazy in the aisles.
