To mark Refugee Week this June, the charity Freedom From Torture is hosting online food festival A Seat at the Table, featuring a range of interactive events and workshops. Special guests including Joanna Lumley, Ian Hislop, Imelda Staunton, Alexei Sayle, Fiona Shaw, Nikesh Shukla and Zoe Adjonyoh will be joined by survivors to discuss their desert island dishes; Sri Lankan survivor chef Nafa will be hosting a curry cookalong with TV chef Paul Merrett; and there’ll be a gastronomic auction with prizes like private dinner parties hosted by Michelin-starred chefs, cooking classes at the Ottolenghi test kitchen, dinners at Dishoom and stays at luxury villas.
