KANPAI is launching a taproom at their Bermondsey brewery this October
It’s World Sake Day this Sunday and to celebrate, KANPAI is opening the doors to its sake brewery, now complete with a taproom and kitchen. Located on Druid Street in London Bridge, it sounds like the new bar will be a go-to for rice wine enthusiasts with fresh sake on tap, as well as a list of sake-based cocktails.
Aside from drinks at the sake brewery – which was the first of its kind in the UK when it opened in Peckham in 2016 – KANPAI will be serving up a menu of Japanese izakaya-inspired dishes by chef Tai Nguyen (formerly of Hakata and Bone Daddies). Expect a selection of sandos, gyoza and udon noodle dishes, and many of the plates will be made using sake or sake-by-products.
The taproom officially launches on Sunday, but if you can’t wait that long, head over on Fri 29th and Sat 30th September when they’ll be soft launching with special offers on drinks.
