A POPULAR DUBAI-BASED BAKERY IS COMING TO LONDON

KAYU Bakehouse is bringing its Insta-famous pastries to Mayfair this autumn

Pastry chef Karim Bourgi’s acclaimed KAYU Bakehouse is already a popular chain in the Middle East, with locations in Dubai, Riyadh and one soon to open in Abu Dhabi. Now, KAYU is making its UK debut with a new site set to open in Mayfair this October.

Bourgi, who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Paris in 2000, specialises in French-inspired signature pastries which are a proven hit on Instagram. Good news is, they apparently taste as good as they look. At Kayu’s London outpost, expect to see the likes of:

  • Raspberry cream cheese croissants
  • Double chocolate brioche
  • Mousse chocolate
  • Mosaic roll cake
  • Mosaic eclairs
  • Macarons

KAYU Bakehouse will make its home in the historic Shepherd Market with what sounds like it’ll be a pretty extravagant boutique (counters made from imported marble, that kinda thing). If you’re a fan of fancy pastries, keep your eye out for this spot.

Opens early October 2023
42 Curzon Street, London W1J 7UG
