A Poppy Light Show Is Being Projected Onto the Tower of London

The immersive show will run for nine nights this November

The Tower of London is no stranger to poignant commemorations – remember the moat filled with ceramic poppies in 2014? – and during this year’s period of Remembrance, a moving sound and light show will be projected onto the Tower of London buildings. Poppy Fields at the Tower, which will run from 8th – 16th November, is a reflection on the First and Second World Wars and will feature depictions of soldiers and poppies as well as images from the Historic Royal Palaces’ own collections, alongside music and poetry readings.

Historic Royal Palaces has said that show has been designed to “create space for visitors to remember those who lost their lives in the conflicts, as well as those who served. It will also look forward, exploring the collective desire for peace.” If you want to see the show, you’ll need to buy a ticket, which also includes after-hours access to see the Crown Jewels.
