A NEW DRIVE-IN CINEMA WILL BE TOURING THE COUNTRY

Outdoor cinemas pop-up across the country every summer but this year things have to be done very differently to comply with social distancing rules. Enter the drive-in movie, just like in Grease. @TheDriveIn pop-up will tour eleven cities across the summer, starting with four days in a South London location in July and finishing with a four-day run in East London in September.

As well as screening the films (the programme currently includes Joker, A Star Is Born, The Lion King and Back to the Future), @TheDriveIn will also host bingo, stand-up comedy and silent discos. All cars will be parked two metres apart and American-style grub will available to order via an app and delivered by waiters on roller skates to ensure proper social distancing.

Tickets start at £35 per car and go on sale on 27th May, with 10 free tickets per screening available for NHS workers.
