A NEW COFFEE SHOP AND DETROIT-STYLE PIZZA JOINT IS OPENING IN NOTTING HILL

Ria’s sounds like it’ll be a real multi-tasker

If you’ve been hanging out in W11 lately, you may have spotted a minimal new shop front on All Saint’s Road. This is set to be the site of brand-new concept Ria’s which promises to be a local coffee shop by day and a Detroit-style pizza and natural wine bar by night. This is more evidence that deep-dish pizza is having a moment in London, following the success of Detroit Pizza and Four Corners at La Cave.

The news was announced by owner and first-time restaurateur Ria Morgan in an Instagram post where she shared the process of renovating the space, which formerly housed Cafe De Thai. Ria is working with her husband Dave on the new opening and writes that they’re “both hugely passionate about creating a space that feels like home, for the community that we build and the employees who make it happen”.

Creating a positive work environment seems especially crucial to the ethos behind Ria’s, which will provide staff with mental health days every quarter and a living wage. As they put it on their website, “We’re on a mission to change hospitality for the better, creating spaces that feel like home, all while caring for the people that make it that way”. Sounds like this could be a real credit to the community.
