Block Soho is coming to town, landing in the newly refurbished site of what used to be Zelman Meats just off of Dean Street. The menu will be made up of steaks, chops and seafood, with premium meats that have been cured in the restaurant’s own Himalayan salt chamber and roasted over coals.
Chefs Stephen Boucher and Arber Malaj are heading up the kitchen, which will be open and visible from the dining area, with four stools located right next to the grill for anyone wanting to be close to the action. The menu will be changing regularly, but as of now, expect highlights such as smoked pulled pork with sourdough toast & apple; grilled tiger prawns with chilli oil & garlic butter; Block fish pie with mustard mash; and dark chocolate tart with honeycomb crackling to finish. There’ll be a familiar drinks list of classic cocktails, British beers and wines from independent and ethical makers. Plus, a daily Croquettes & Cocktails happy hour will get you access to some bar snacks and seasonal cocktail specials.
