A Movie Soundtrack Festival Is Coming to London

Big news for soundtrack fans: following a debut edition in 2025, a festival dedicated to the music of movies, TV and video games is coming back to town. The London Soundtrack Festival (LSF), running this April, will open with a lunchtime concert with the Tippett Quartet performing works by Bernard Herrmann and Christopher Gunning, with a screening of Brian de Palma’s Obsession at the Barbican that afternoon, followed by a Homegrown Heroes concert of British film and TV music that evening.

Other highlights will include a celebration of the music of Downton Abbey at Central Hall Westminster, a screening of Emma introduced by composer Rachel Portman, and David Arnold (composer for Casino Royale, Independence Day, Sherlock, and Good Omens) in conversation about his career at the Royal College of Music.
