Silvertown Quays in Docklands may not be your regular hangout spot but that’s soon gonna change because a huge new open-air venue is opening in the area this year. The 400,000 sq ft waterside location is being transformed into Dockyards, a year-round cultural space “inspired by the flow of goods and the role Royal Docks have played in the history of London”, by the teams behind Printworks, The Drumsheds and Field Day, who know a thing or two about what makes a cool venue.
Currently, there are two events in Dockyards calendar for September – Defected London festival on 3rd & 4th and Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender on 10th & 11th – with more in the works, so we’ll see you for a dance down by the docks very soon.
