A GARDEN CENTRE OPENS AT SELFRIDGES

You’ve always been able to pick up clothes, accessories, beauty, tech and food at Selfridges and now you can add seeds, plants and compost to that list too. Yes, Selfridges has launched its very own garden centre (complete with a grow bag installation at the canopy entrance) as part of the department store’s Good Nature campaign for 2021. Gardening went through a big boom during lockdown and the Selfridges Garden Centre is continuing the trend by selling gardening tools, pots, seeds, indoor & outdoor plants, and even its own label compost and yellow garden gnome called Gary. The Garden Centre also houses the Potting Shed, where you can get tips and advice from resident gardener Angela Maynard (and from the virtual dial-a-gardener service), and get involved in workshops and events.

It’s still Selfridges though so you’ll also be able to shop from an edit of fashion and lifestyle products including Prada, Ganni and Grateful Dead collections and Selfridges’ own garden-themed merch featuring Gary the Gnome and slogans like ‘Herb Your Enthusiasm’ and ‘Horti-Couture’. Green has never been so chic.
