Meet in the MIDI, a new community-focused listening party has arrived in Hackney. Curated by Soho Radio’s Karim Bitar, this new summer series celebrates artists who have shaped and shifted the musical landscape through musical exploration and conversation.
Each edition is part listening-party, part-discussion, spotlighting influential figures from across genres and generations. Having kickstarted the series with a soulful deep-dive into the work of American producer Osunlade, the second session turns its focus to Croydon’s own dubstep pioneer and UK dance music staple, Skream.
Hosted at The BBE Store (the cute record shop nestled beneath the railway arches in London Fields), the evening will begin with a talk and guided listening session led by Karim, followed by an all-vinyl set by Kaspar Broyd to close out the night.
