A FLOATING BAKERY HAS COME TO LONDON

London already has a floating bookshop (and a floating lido could be on the way) and now the city is home to a floating bakery. Ex-Clos Maggiore chef Jeremy Huguet and his wife Lindsay started providing their neighbours with baked goods from their houseboat after Jeremy taught himself how to make patisserie during lockdown. After word spread, the Floating Boulangerie started selling fresh pastries, baguettes, foccacia, sourdough and rye breads from a hatch on the boat, and they also now take delivery orders via direct message on social media.

As they’re on a boat the bakery’s location changes all the time so you’ll need to follow them on socials to see where they’ll be popping up next…although word on the water is that the pair are looking to expand with a second boat.
