A CAMILLE WALALA STREET COULD BE COMING TO LEYTON

Camille Walala’s geometric patterns have popped up all over London, from Shoreditch to Mayfair to King’s Cross, and now Leyton could be joining that list thanks to a new crowdfunding campaign. Wood Street Walls has teamed up with residents and local businesses like Deeney’s and Mighty Elk to launch the fundraiser, which, if successful, will see Walala’s Parade installed above shop fronts on Leyton High Road.

And it’s gonna be eco too, with the designers using recycled paint from Forest Recycling Project and a new paint formula, currently being tested, that should absorb carbon emissions. £40k is needed for the project, so if you wanna see a huge bit of public art brought to Leyton, pledge away.
