London’s getting another new sarnie spot
Mardy may mean grumpy, but soon this summer it’s also going to mean sandwiches as Daniel Koukarskikh, who’s behind Marylebone spot Lita is opening sarnie spot Mardy’s in Mayfair. He’s playing on the grumpy theme with the brand’s old man character, who wants proper sandwiches that fill you up, great tasting healthy food, strong coffee and quick moving queues.
That’s exactly what Mardy’s is promising to deliver. As well as serious coffee, the menu will focus on properly made sandwiches, from indulgent tuna melts and a Club Mardy to Caesar wraps and a classic Coronation chicken, plus bone broth for those who prefer their meals in liquid form.
Speaking about Mardy’s, Koukarskikh said: “We’re a proudly British business – straightforward, unpretentious, and grumpy about quality.”
