Nestled
away in the most Chelsea of neighbourhoods is Cheyne Walk Brasserie; a French gem as polished as its Chanel-clad diners. It’s grown-up fancy without the air of pretentiousness you might expect and has a menu that will leave you with a serious case of indecision. We started with a plate of scallop carpaccio bursting with citrus flavours and some fresh tuna sashimi. Mains of half corn-fed chicken and black tiger prawns were served straight from the wood-fired grill whilst dessert was an indulgent chocolate fondant, served with a scoop of mint & chocolate ice cream and an extra wafer of chocolate for good measure.
We’d say Cheyne Walk Brasserie is one for the grown-up moments in your life; the sort of place you’d take a date you’d like to impress or the family altogether for a special occasion. And expect to pay more than a few pennies because let’s face it; we are in Chelsea after all.
