GUARDS WE TRUST
RELEASED: 29TH APRIL 2013

Following their American tour supporting Queens of the Stone Age and European tour supporting MGMT, we have been listening to GUARDS album ‘In Guards We Trust’ non-stop. With harmonies and reverb a-plenty, this soothing shadow of garage-rock shows the members’ previous influences and other band involvements from The Willowz and Cults.

The debut album is a beautifully crafted marathon of day-dream happiness with hints of Johnny and Jenny (Jenny being previously of Rilo Kiley). The New York trio encapsulate elements of indie, shoegaze and psychedelia whilst remaining modern and interesting. Perhaps a reason why they can support such amazingly diverse of bands such as QOTSA and MGMT.

Catch the album from Partisan Records or watch and listen to the monumentally sentimental Ready to Go (directed by band member Kayley Church).
