FLAT EARTH PIZZAS TO OPEN A PERM RESTAURANT IN BETHNAL GREEN

After a series of pop-ups and residences across East London, Flat Earth Pizzas has found a permanent home in Bethnal Green, and founders Sarah Brading and Rich Baker have gone right back to where they started as the new restaurant is on the site where they held their very first pop-up. Flat Earth is all about producing sustainable pizzas, made using Wildfarmed and Gilchester’s Organic flour and topped with locally sourced veggie and vegan ingredients, like the Hackney Hot with sweet pickled beets, Somerset 3 cheese grate, tomato passata & chillies and the garlic mushroom, oat bechamel & toasted walnut pizza.

The pizzas will be available all day at the restaurant alongside a brunch menu featuring Climpson & Sons coffee and dishes like skillet baked kimchi shakshuka and sprouting broccoli, tahini, smoky tomato & roast chickpeas on sourdough toast. Come evening, there’ll be a seasonal small plates selection available – think pickled beetroot & white cabbage achar and soubise with roast red onions, shallots, croutons & wild garlic pesto – with draught beer from 40FT Brewery and The Kernel (plus more cans and bottles in the fridge) and wines on tap and in reusable bottles. We can’t wait to get a pizz’a the action.
