PARTY AT GREENWICH PENINSULA AS URBAN VILLAGE FETE RETURNS FOR 2023

There’s no better way to spend a spring Sunday than by soaking up music, arts & crafts, culture and street food in one of London’s nicest open spaces

Yes Urban Village Fete is back at Greenwich Peninsula this May for its seventh year, with a packed programme of music, talks, workshops, entertainment, food, and more, and best of all it’s totally FREE to attend.

As well as headline DJ sets from Mr Scruff, Zakia, and Bradley Zero, plus more drinking and dancing after dark on the heated terrace at Canteen Food Hall and Bar, this year’s edition of Urban Village Fete also features talks on artificial intelligence, sustainable city futures, and culture in a cost-of-living crisis, hosted by Robert Elms.

If you want to get really hands-on, you can also get involved with dance classes, a canine circus, botanical sessions with Hackney Herbal, origami modelling, community book swapping, and jewellery knitting with Black Girl Knit Club. Or you could browse the sustainable, ethical and indie brands on offer at the designer-maker market, before kicking back with a couple of cocktails and some grub from one of the artisan producers and street food traders, watching the street performers do their thing and (hopefully) catching a few rays in the process.

Greenwich Peninsula is easily accessible by tube (it’s right outside North Greenwich station), bus, Uber Boat, foot and even cable car, so you won’t have any trouble getting to Urban Village Fete. Bring on festival season we say.
